Smith Automotive brings over 70 years of combined experience to the table. With owner Darrel Smith at the helm, the business has been a family affair since he was a boy. Having learned the ropes from his father, Wayland Smith, Darrel went on to teach automotive classes at RCC and gain specialized training in Charlotte. After working with Black Cadillac for over two decades, he ventured out on his own over 20 years ago.
Joined by his brother Winfred Smith, a skilled shop foreman with exceptional knowledge in driveability, brother-in-law Craig McDaris, Lindsey Carson, and Jay Geisler, Smith Automotive has a team with the automotive expertise to get your vehicle needs done right. Starting out as the first gas station in town and offering standard maintenance such as oil changes and tire repair, Smith Automotive . Auto Repair Shop in Greensboro, North Carolina transitioned to a full service body shop over time. In the late 90's a new wing was added for body work including custom paint jobs. Already certified in many areas, we are still growing fast!
